Gummy should've never taken that left. Mammon rejected her burnt caterpillars. Gummy only wanted to give Mammon something beautiful and see the legs spark, but instead, she ran off deep in the woods. Mammon ruined her plan to make his day.
Liminal Man approaches Gummy with his fingers woven between stacks of logs. Gummy fixates on his splinter-ridden hands. There's a deep grin on his shadowy face. He notices that Gummy's aura is removing light around her, and he wanted to brighten things up.
LM - “What’s going on, Gummy?” G - “Mammon said my present was wrong”
LM drops the firewood and offers her matches. She strikes a flame and the fire tears open the ground beneath them.
Just as LM puts his foot in the portal, seconds away from escape, Mammon screams out the fire. the ground zips back up, absorbing LM’s foot.
Mammon claws Gummy up and transcends, scolding her. She looks over her shoulder at LM stuck alone, just out of reach of the matches.
